To kick off the holiday season in Downtown Paris, Tenn., Christmas Open House will include food trucks, fire pits, and live music by Darryl Worley. Enjoy shopping during extended hours Friday, November 6 through Sunday, November 8.
Worley, a Savannah, Tennessee, native, will play an acoustic set with two members of his band starting at 6:00PM on Saturday night. Worley’s three most popular songs, all #1 hits, are “I Miss My Friend”, the 9/11 tribute “Have You Forgotten”, and “Awful Beautiful Life.”
“We need this energy in Downtown Paris,” commented Travis McLeese. “Not only will it drive foot traffic to our beautiful downtown, we feel it will help our merchants start the season with a bang! We have plenty of room for folks to bring a chair, spread out and safely social distance.”
Music will start at 11:00 AM on Saturday with local Henry County High School student Marley Trosper. The Krider Performing Arts Center’s vocal ensemble, Harmonix, will perform. Local lake favorite, Josh McKee, will play at 12:00 PM. Regional favorites Scott Myatt and Steve Short will take the “steps” at 1:00 PM. Bethany Ellis, a McKenzie Native, will perform at 2:00 PM. The “one and only” Johnny Mac will open for Worley at 5:00 PM.
“This project would not be possible without Wells Fargo Financial Advisor, Jamie Orr,” McLeese added. “Jamie stepped up and made a significant investment to make this concert free to the public.”
Another element of the festivities include food trucks both Friday night from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM and Saturday from 11:00 AM-8:00 PM. Handheld Food Truck, Perry’s BBQ, Sweet Jordan’s Out-n-About, Cash’s Wood fired Pizza, Maria’s Mexican Restaurant, Chick’nCone of West KY, and Folksy Food Café, and Barnes Family Kettle Corn.
No admission will be charged for the concerts. Guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs. Social distancing will be recommended. The concert will be aired through Facebook Live from the Chamber’s Facebook Page for those who are unable to attend.
