
Greenville, Miss.–While Henry Countians who knew him continue to mourn, three men have been arrested for the murder of former countian Kenneth Mason.
Mason, age 52, was shot to death October 21 near his home in Greenville, Miss. Mason grew up in Paris and was a 1986 Henry County High School graduate.
Mason was praised as the co-founder of the Stop Abuse Campaign, a non-profit based in New York City that seeks to prevent child sexual abuse and neglect.
According to the Clarion-Ledger of Jackson, Miss., Mason moved to his home after the coronavirus pandemic began to take care of his mother and to write a book. Mason was born in Greenville, Miss.
Washington County Chief Deputy Bill Barber said Monday Mason was found on the side of the road and had been shot twice. Mason’s vehicle was found during a traffic stop and three males in the SUV were taken into custody and questioned.
Arrested were: Donnell Corbin, 18, and Devonte Jones, 20, both of Greenville, and Fredrick Pearson Jr., 21, of Indianola, Miss.
