
Sir Sean Connery has died at the age of 90, according to his family.
The Scottish actor is best known for his role as James Bond. He was the first actor to play Bond on the screen, first appearing in the role in 1962 and starring in seven of the James Bond movies.
His family said Connery died in his sleep while in the Bahamas. He had been ill for some time.
He was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 2000.
