
Mayfield, Ky.–Wednesday, around 9:15 p.m., a Trooper with the Kentucky State Police observed the operator of a 1999 Ford Taurus commit multiple traffic violations. The Trooper conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle just north of Mayfield on KY 1241 and identified the driver as Derrek W. Dickson, age 32 of South Fulton, Tennessee.
During a search of the vehicle, Troopers located approximately 1.1 ounces of suspected methamphetamine, suspected marijuana, and several fake $20 bills. Troopers also located suspected gabapentin pills and other drug paraphernalia.
Dickson was arrested and lodged in the Graves County Jail. He was charged with Trafficking in Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 2nd or Subsequent Offense (> or = 2 Grams of Methamphetamine), Drug Paraphernalia – Buy/Possess, Possession of Marijuana, Illegal Possession of Legend Drug, Criminal Possession of Forged Instrument, 3rd Degree, and other traffic offenses.
