Dover, Tenn.–Over the weekend, more than 700 commemorative wreaths were placed at grave markers of the Fort Donelson National Cemetery.
In participation of the 2020 Wreaths Across America season, sponsored wreaths were laid by representation from the Douglas M. Lyons, Dover Post 72, American Legion, and staff of Fort Donelson.
The mission of the Wreaths Across America is to REMEMBER our fallen U.S. veterans; HONOR those who serve; and to demonstrate and to TEACH younger generations to value our shared freedoms.
Visitors to Fort Donelson National Cemetery are encouraged to explore the cemetery landscape, view the wreaths, and perhaps take a moment to pay respects and Remember, Honor, and Teach.
The commemorative greenery will remain in place until January 9, 2021.
