Paris, Tenn.–Henry County 911 Director Mark Archer said he has received official word from AT&T that service has been restored following the Christmas morning explosion right outside the AT&T transmission building in downtown Nashville.
Archer said he received the following message from AT&T:
“This is the notification from AT&T Mobility to advise you the service outage impacting the ability to deliver AT&T Mobility wireless 911 calls in your area has been resolved. The service was restored as of 12/29/2020 1 p.m. EST. The bombing damage has been fixed.”

According to the notification from AT&T, “The building is currently running on generator power. The commercial power plant is right under the crater and will be out for some time. The scene is still a crime scene and the engineers don’t yet have access to the commercial power plant. All equipment is powered through a battery plant, which allows AT&T to power down generators and bring power back up with no interruption to the equipment.”
