
Martin, Tenn.–A Martin man has been charged after a hit and run and aggravated assault at a local convenience store.
Derrick Williams, age 54, was arrested New Year’s Eve and charged with aggravated assault.
According to Martin Assistant Police Chief Phillip Fuqua, police were called to 3J’s Food Mart on Elm Street where the victim said Williams hit him with his BMW and then left the scene.
The victim said the men were arguing over a woman when Williams allegedly got in his car and hit him while he was standing in the parking lot.
