Paris, Tenn.–Brush and leaf pickup is now conducted on a case by case basis in the city of Paris.
Brush, which consists of tree limbs, bush trimmings, etc., is worked from a list generated by phone call requests year round. Leaf pickup, which consists of raked leaves only, is done city-wide during the fall months through the end of the year during the time the leaves are falling.
The City monitors all streets during the fall to pick up leaves and this year we have made it around the City at least three times to pick up any leaves left at the street.
At the end of last month the city changed over to a call list. If you have leaves (or brush) that need to be picked up by the City we ask that you call 731-642-0473 to be placed on a list for pickup.
Please do not place your leaves (or brush) at the street until you have called to get your address placed on the list. Please don’t rely on our Public Works staff to notice they need to be picked up, they do not routinely check.
City officials said, “We work hard to provide this service to the community but we need your assistance to continue this process. These pickups must be worked into the schedule of the Public Works Crews.”
