Union City, Tenn.–A group of third- and fourth-grade students from Union City Elementary School was recently rewarded for good deeds over the second nine weeks of the 2020-21 school year with a trip to Discovery Park of America.
Deemed “Discovery Kids” for their exemplary behavior, the students spent the day exploring DPA and both learning and enjoying its many features.
Students are selected for the honor based on their work ethic, overall behavior and kindness toward others.
The group was accompanied by UCES guidance counselor Christina VanHooser along with chaperones Mindy McClanahan and Tammy Harris.
Among those chosen for the reward were:
Third Grade: Noah Bevis, Elijah Harmon, Jeremiah Mobbs, Stella Pearl Graham, Walton Harder, Sofia Silva-Maldonado, Jennifer Chavez-Pastor, McKinley Reed, Lydia Coleman and Suni Wright-Johnson.
Fourth Grade: Alanna Davis, Camden Watts, Amberly Morgan, Maddie Lane Steward, Angel Bridges, Maria Maldonado-Vasquez, Landen Waters, Melissa Maldonado, Briner Perez-Martinez and Jeremy Martinez.
