Dover, Tenn.–A total of 52,331 pounds is a lot of anything: In fact it’s over 26 tons. Despite being limited due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, that is how much trash was collected from the roadways in Stewart County for 2020 by the inmate litter crew. Sheriff Frankie Gray said, “A great job by our Jail Administrator Kenny Anderson and Lt. Sandi Webster who oversees this project. Also a big thanks to the inmates who worked on this detail. The Stewart County Sheriff’s Office encourages everyone to help keep Stewart County clean and also please report any illegal dumping.” (Stewart County Sheriff’s Office photo).
