Tennessee has announced it will add 100 new COVID-19 vaccination sites across the state, with several of those at Walmarts and other pharmacies in West Tennessee.
Walmart announced Wednesday it has expanded its in-store vaccination program to five new states, including Tennessee.
According to the list posted on Walmart’s website, West Tennessee Walmarts in Dyersburg, Ripley, Bolivar and Brownsville will be administering the vaccine, as will numerous Walmart locations in the Memphis area.
Two other pharmacies in West Tennessee also are listed: Hopkins Apothecary in Camden and Van’s Pharmacy in Martin.
In the near future, Walmart will be posting scheduling tools online to help eligible populations sign up for the program. No date has been set as yet for when the vaccinations will be available at Walmarts and other pharmacies.
The vaccinations will only be available to the population groups currently eligible in Tennessee.
