
Martin, Tenn.– Refugio Palacios, a junior University of Tennessee at Martin finance major from Dyersburg, is the first recipient of the Minority Leader’s Scholarship, sponsored by Commercial Bank and Trust Company in Paris.
The scholarship was created to identify young minority students with strong leadership skills and provide resources to help prepare them for future careers in finance. Scholarship recipients are provided with a monetary reward, as well as training and internship opportunities, which allow students to experience a financial career firsthand.
