Martin, Tenn.–Morton, the UT Martin campus therapy pup, is living his best life under the supervision of his human, Director of Public Safety Monte Belew. Belew is the former Henry County Sheriff and Morton was given to him by Hank Williams Jr. of Paris.
Chancellor Keith Carver noted on his Facebook page this morning that today is National Puppy Day. “Happy #NationalPuppyDay to Morton, our very own campus therapy pup! When you see Morton out on campus today, be sure to give him some extra love and attention (not that he’s lacking for any attention….).”
