Paris, Tenn.–At a brief monthly meeting of the Paris Utility Authority Board of Directors, the board voted to proceed with the completion of the transmission line to Eagle Creek substation using Service Electric.
The low bid from Service Electric of $90,286.40 was accepted. Service Electric has worked with Paris BPU and the Utility Authority board on several other projects.
This project is a continuation of the Eagle Creek Substation project and will allow the utility to have a second delivery point from TVA and improve the reliability and redundancy of electric service across the county.
In his President’s Report, Terry Wimberley introduced Ray Lewis as his employee guest. Lewis serves as the Water Department Foreman and has been with the utility for 12 years.
“Ray and his team have been faced with several challenges over the last few months, specifically with the winter storm in early February,” said Wimberley. “His leadership ability was on full display as he and his crews handled multiple water main breaks, many at the same time, in less than ideal conditions in an exemplary manner.”
