Buchanan, Tenn.–One more local business has been added to the list of commercial properties destroyed by Wednesday evening’s EF-1 tornado in Henry County. The Mule Barn, a local venue for private parties and community events, was destroyed along with Lakeway Auto Sales.
Henry County Emergency Management Agency Director Ron Watkins said the back half of the Mule Barn building was destroyed and the roof was ripped off of the front of the building.
The Mule Barn is well-known in the area for its collection of vintage cars.
Ken Scarbrough at The Mule Barn told RadioNWTN, “God is great. We are OK.” The Mule Barn is located on Scarbrough Lane in Buchanan.
Lakeway Auto Sales at the intersection of Sulphur Wells Academy Road and Hwy. 79N was flattened by the tornado. Workers were at the site making the repairs that could be made to the building today.
