Paris, Tenn.–The Paris Board of Public Utilities named the Tim Matheny Water Quality Lab in honor of the late employee, who passed away earlier this year.
Matheny spent more than 10 years serving Paris BPU as a Water Treatment Plant Operator before passing away in January.
The Paris BPU Management team, along with support from the Board and fellow employees, wanted to memorialize Matheny’s life and years of service with a dedication and naming of the Water Quality Lab at the organizations’ new Water Treatment Plant.
“Tim was a friend to everyone at Paris BPU,” said Tony Brown, Vice President-Water/Wastewater Operations. “Tim’s dedication to his job, his family and this community were unmatched and have left a lasting impression on those who knew him. This plaque will allow his memory to forever be a part of Paris BPU.”
The dedication included the revealing of the “Tim Matheny Water Quality Lab” plaque, which mounted on the wall outside of the Lab in the new Paris BPU Water Treatment Plant. Members of Tim’s family, as well as coworkers and friends, attended the event.
