Buchanan, Tenn.–A storage building is a total loss after a fire Monday afternoon in Buchanan.

At approximately 1:15 pm, the Paris Landing Volunteer Fire Department and Henry County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a report of a house on fire at 145 Eagle Creek Drive in Buchanan.

Fire Chief Reggie Coles said arriving units found a storage building behind the residence fully engulfed in flames. It was a total loss and damage is estimated at $25,000.

The owner Mrs. Tina Beidler was out of town at the time of the incident. Coles said her son discovered the fire.

“The exact cause of the fire is undetermined, but appears to be accidental,” Coles said.

Both Paris and Puryear Fire Departments responded for mutual aid.  Four trucks and 10 firefighters were on the scene for 1 1/2 hours.
