Paris, Tenn.–A Buchanan man has now been charged with an additional three counts of rape of a child and remains held at the Henry County Jail on $250,000 bond.
Charles Anderson, age 55, of 14100 Hwy. 79N, was arrested earlier this month on charges of aggravated sexual battery and especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a child. In the original press release issued by the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, it stated the charges involved a child under the age of 13.
He now has been charged with the additional counts of rape of a child.
The original arrest took place as a result of an investigation by the Sheriff Office’s Criminal Investigations Division on allegations that a cellular phone belonging to Anderson contained images depicting child pornography.
The investigation also found that Anderson had unlawful sexual contact with a child less than 13 years of age in Henry County during December 2020 and January 2021.
The investigation is being conducted with the cooperation of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Tennessee Department of Children Services.
Anderson is set for arraignment today in General Sessions Court.
