Seven Receive Paris Quota Scholarships

Paris, Tenn.–Seven students have been selected by Quota Club to receive scholarships in the total amount of $6000 to be paid to their universities for the 2021-22 school year.  The scholarships were announced at the Quota Club’s meeting Wednesday, May 26, and students were accompanied by family and guests.  

Laynee Thornton is in her fourth year at Middle Tennessee State University.  She will graduate in December 2021 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.  Laynee is the daughter of Darrah and Russell Crawford. She has received a Quota Scholarship for all of her four years at MTSU.

Blake Kennedy is the son of Stephanie and Chad Kennedy.  He attends Murry State University and plans to receive his Bachelor’s in Agriculture Systems Technology in May of 2022. Blake will receive the Routon Family Scholarship, which is his second Quota Scholarship.

Hanna Crouch is a 2021 graduate of Henry County High School. She is the daughter of Mickey and Christine Crouch.  Hanna plans to attend Bethel University with the intent of becoming a Physician’s Assistant.

Emma Frances Hill is a 2021 graduate of Henry County High School.  She is the daughter of Robert and Jennifer Hill.  Emma plans to attend the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and major in pro-professional law.

Chase Wyrick is the son of Barbara and Scott Wyrick.  He attends university of Tennessee, Martin, and is majoring in Finance, with plans to become a financial planner.  Chase is a three time recipient of the Quota Scholarship.

Savannah Hunt in the daughter of Chad and Shannon Hunt.  She attends the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.  Savannah plans to receive her Bachelor’s in Psychology with a minor in Philosophy and aims to pursue a Master’s of Public Health.  This is her second Quota Scholarship.

Julia Hendrix attends the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga, and will graduate in 2022 with a Bachelor’s in Secondary Education.  She plans to teach high school history somewhere in West Tennessee, if possible.  Julia is the daughter of Paul and Amanda Hendrix.  This is her fourth Quota Scholarship and the Quota Club awarded her the Martha Smith Scholarship, donated in Martha’s honor.
