Paris, Tenn.–Let’s take a moment and put the spotlight on two more artisans who will be displaying their works at the indoor Summer Bazaar at the Paris Academy for the Arts this Saturday.
One of the many exhibiting artists –and one who is familiar to most people in our area–is Grumpy’s Woodturning, who will have his usual beautiful solid and segmented hand turned wood bowls, lamps, vases, covered boxes, rolling pins and more.
Another of the exhibiting artists is Tricia Scott of Blue Zinnia Studio. Originally from Virginia, Scott recently moved to Paris, and will be selling cyanotype prints, cards, and pendants. Cyanotype is an old photographic printing process, resulting in distinctive monochromatic cyan-blue prints. Scott’s artwork reveals her nature-inspired wonder and creativity.
Twenty artisans will display their works at the Bazaar from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 26.
The bazaar will also include a variety of handmade jewelry, pottery, decorative glass, honey, jams, goat’s milk soap, greeting cards, watercolor paintings, prints, gourd art, knitted items, and walking sticks, among others.
The Academy will also be selling used cookbooks, old school desks, and homemade baked goods.
Door prizes will be awarded throughout the day, featuring items made by the vendors. Kettle Korn and food trucks will also be there.
Paris Academy for the Arts is located at 402 Lee Street.
