Union City, Tenn.–A great crowd was on hand Thursday afternoon as the Obion County Farmers Market opened for the 2021 season with a ribbon-cutting at 2 p.m. Brooke Coffey from the Obion County Chamber of Commerce made opening remarks while several vendors were on hand to offer giveaway items. Vendors on hand Thursday included: Chicken Salad Chicks, Gulf Coast Connection, the UT/TSU Extension Office of Obion County, and the Obion County Health Department. The Farmers Market is located under the pavilion at 214 E. Church Street, Union City, and is open from 2-5 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and from 7 a.m. to noon Saturdays. (John Thornton photo).
