PADUCAH, Ky. (July 14, 2021) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans to close a section of KY 2140 in southern Fulton County on Thursday and Friday, July 15 & 16, 2021.
This planned closure near the south end of KY 2140 at mile point 0.5 is to allow a cross drain to be replaced. The closure is between KY 166/Middle Road and KY 125/Union City Highway.
The Fulton County Highway Maintenance Crew plans to close KY 2140 at this site promptly at 6:30 a.m., CDT, on Thursday morning. Due to time required for concrete to set up, the roadway is likely to remain closed until sometime on Friday afternoon.
There will be no marked detour. However, motorists may self-detour via KY 166 and KY 125.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will attempt to provide timely notice should the roadway reopen to traffic earlier than expected.
