
Henry, Tenn.–Another abandoned structure was destroyed by fire in Henry in the early morning hours today.
Henry Volunteer firefighters were dispatched to a report of an abandoned barn on fire at 1000 Pettijohn Creed Rd. around 2:45 a.m.
Paris Board of Public Utilities had been dispatched to the area earlier on a report of a power outage and upon arrival on the scene, found the structure fire had caused their lines to snap.
BPU workers then reported the fire to dispatch.
Henry VFD officials noted, “This is one of many suspected arson fires in the Henry area recently,” with two occurring just in the past two weeks, also destroying abandoned structured. A $5,000 reward was already issued for information on the arson fires.
Mansfield Volunteer firefighters provided mutual aid.
