Traffic Stop Results In Drug Charges For Henry Co. Man

Dover, Tenn.–A Henry County man was arrested on several drug charges after a traffic stop in Stewart County. New Dover Police K9 Shelby alerted to the drugs during the stop.

Daniel Loeffler, age 44, who said he was homeless from Paris Landing, was charged with selling meth, possession of meth while driving, possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Sunday July 25th, Stewart County Deputy Josh Miller made a traffic stop near NAPA on Hwy 79. During the stop Deputy Miller suspected drugs which the driver refused consent to search.

According to the press release from the Stewart County Sheriff’s Office, Dover Police Officer Jody Batton was close and once on the scene he deployed his new K-9 Shelby and she indicated drugs were present.

A search of the vehicle by Deputy Miller turned up over 12 grams of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
