Two Arrested After Marijuana Found Growing In UC

Union City, Tenn.–Union City Police made two arrests after finding marijuana-growing operations at a local apartment building this morning.
At 10 a.m. July 27, officers with the Union City Police Department were called to building A of the Stone Street apartments in reference to a marijuana grow.
While on scene the officers found a marijuana grow in the apartment of Tracie Vaughn-Jackson, 45 years old of Union City. Multiple marijuana plants were being grown inside Ms. Vaughn- Jackson’s closet.
The investigation continued after an officer observed Robert Neely, 41 years old of Union City, place a marijuana plant placed inside a vehicle.
A search of Neely’s car revealed multiple marijuana plants. Neely’s residence was also searched and a marijuana grow operation was also found.  Neely had tried to remove the marijuana plants from his apartment after hearing Ms. Vaughn-Jackson’s plants had been found.
Both subjects are being charged with Manufacture of Marijuana class E Felony and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
