Union City, Tenn.–Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City Wednesday dedicated its newly-renovated chapel and officially named it Providence Chapel. It is located on the first floor of the hospital at 1201 Bishop Street.
The current place of worship received its first official name as Providence Chapel and it was dedicated in honor of “All Essential Workers & In Memory of Those Lost.”
Baptist Memorial Director of Pastoral Care Chaplain Michael Dennison said, “The name Providence Chapel was chosen as a way for all who enter the doors of the hospital to reflect upon God’s providential care for their spiritual, physical, mental and emotional health. This new chapel helps our team members live out the organization’s mission that states: ‘In keeping with the three-fold ministry of Christ – Healing, Preaching and Teaching – Baptist Memorial Health Care is committed to providing quality health care’.
