
Union City, Tenn.–Beginning August 1, Discovery Park will be open five days a week. It will be open Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will be closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays. These hours will continue through February 28, 2022.
Discovery Park of America’s museum and 50-Acre heritage park are now open with entry through the main entrance.
We are closed on New Year’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

LOW SEASON
August – May
Open 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Monday
Open 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Sunday
Closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays
HIGH SEASON
June – July
Open 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Monday – Saturday
Open 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Sunday
To make your experience more enjoyable, please note the following guidelines:
- No food or drinks may be brought into the park from outside.
- No pets.
- No weapons.
- All bags will be checked.
- Prepackaged food and beverage are available in the park.
- A nurse is always on duty. Should you feel you need one at any time, just let one of our staff know.
DISCOVERY CENTER IS OPEN
Discovery Center, our 100,000-square-foot museum is open with entry through the main doors.
Special attractions including the Starship Theater, the Earthquake Simulator and the Cooper Tower are open but only at 50 percent capacity to allow for adequate social distancing.
