Martin, Tenn.–Martin Police continue to investigate the shooting which injured a five-year-old boy Monday.
Police Chief Don Teal said the little boy is in stable condition after surgery at LeBonheur Hospital.
The incident appears to be accidental, he said. Two brothers were playing upstairs at 240 Oakland St. Apt. A when they found a handgun in a nightstand. While looking at and playing with the gun it accidentally discharged striking one of the individuals.
