Paris, Tenn.–Paris Board of Public Utilities officials said this morning that Wednesday evening’s outage was a result of a tree falling through a transmission line. There will be another power interruption this morning for some customers.
The outage was widespread and lasted over an hour for some 3,500 customers throughout Henry County.
Officials said, “Crews worked quickly to identify the source of the outage, and reroute feeds to get customers back on as quickly as possible. Today, around 10:30 am, crews will be briefly interrupting power for customers in Puryear, the 641 N area and Jones Mill while they make final repairs. We expect the outage to be less than 20 minutes. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and cooperation.”
