Waverly, Tenn.–It was an emotional night in Waverly Friday evening as residents, first responders, and volunteers gathered to remember the 20 victims from last weekend’s catastrophic floods. At the vigil, emotional words were offered by local ministers, county and city officials. New Johnsonville Church of Christ Minister Joe Rhodes read the names of the 20 lives lost in the floods. A wooden plaque with the names of all 20 victims was displayed, along with photos of the victims. (Bobby Melton photos).
