MARTIN, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee at Martin cross country program will play host to the inaugural Soybean Invitational on Friday, Sept. 3 featuring both a high school portion and a collegiate race.
The Soybean Invitational will be contested on the campus of UT Martin at the Pacer Pond Cross Country Course and features four races starting at 5 p.m. The high school men’s three-mile run begins at 5 p.m. with the girls’ race to start at 5:35 p.m. The collegiate women’s three-mile race will get underway at 6:30 p.m. with the men’s four-mile to follow at 6:50 p.m.
The collegiate race will feature competitors from UT Martin along with regional programs Bethel, Murray State, Southern Illinois and Southeast Missouri.
Admission to the event is free with parking available in the large parking lot adjacent to Mt. Pelia Road, north of the Student Recreation Center, west of Boling University Center and south of the Skyhawk Beach Volleyball Complex.
