Johnny Cash Folsom Exhibit Opens At UT Martin

Martin, Tenn.–“1968: A Folsom Redemption” features intimate photos of musician Johnny Cash with friends and family, highlighting his golden era from the January 1968 Folsom prison album recording to a March 1, 1969 concert in Anaheim, California.
The exhibit is open to the public 8:00am to 4:30pm weekdays in the Paul Meek Library on the University of Tennessee at Martin campus.
An opening reception at 7 pm on Thursday, September 9, will feature music by UT Martin’s own House Band. A public lecture at 7 pm on Thursday, September 30, will allow Gene Beley to share his personal experiences at the Folsom concert and his work in developing the exhibit. Both events are open to the public and will take place in the Special Collections Reading Room.
1968: A Folsom Redemption will be open for public viewing from September 1 – October 15.
