By 1976, the family of Loretta and Dolittle Lynn had settled into the historic plantation home in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee. When the couple found the property in the early 60’s, they soon found that the historic antebellum home came with it’s own town, post office and zip code. Dolittle restored the town’s gristmill and built the display cabinets himself and over time, a museum complex was opened there.
