Martin, Tenn.–A domestic dispute escalated into a death threat and arrest for aggravated assault in Martin Thursday night.
An Obion County man was arrested by Martin Police Thursday evening after he allegedly pulled a gun on his ex-girlfriend’s father and threatened to kill him.
Assistant Police Chief Phillip Fuqua released the police report which states that Jacob Penn Conn, age 22, of Rives, was arrested at the Arch Tree Apartments on Mt. Pelia Road. According to the report, Conn refused to leave his ex-girlfriend’s apartment after they had broken up earlier in the day.
His ex-girlfriend’s father arrived at the apartment and told Conn to leave, which is when Conn allegedly pulled the gun on him and threatened to kill him. The father then left the room with his daughter and another witness to the incident.
According to the report, the father did not want to prosecute him but police charged Conn with aggravated assault.
