Murray, Ky.–A bicyclist is in the hospital with serious injuries after a collision with a truck in Calloway County late Tuesday afternoon.
At approximately 5:30 p.m., Calloway County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Highway 121 North near the intersection of Kirksey Road for a report of a collision with injuries. Upon their arrival, Deputies located a truck and bicycle with damage from the collision.
Preliminary investigation has indicated Shayne Wilford was operating a black Dodge Ram when, for reasons still under investigation, the vehicle struck a bicycle being ridden by Andrew Graham.
Andrew Graham, age 53, of Murray, Kentucky was transported by Murray-Calloway County Emergency Medical Services to Murray-Calloway County Hospital, and then by medical helicopter to a hospital in Nashville, Tennessee for treatment of serious injuries received during the collision.
The Calloway County Sheriff’s Office was also assisted on scene by Calloway County Fire-Rescue.
