
Nashville, Tenn.–The Tennessee Association of School Business Officials (TASBO) Board of Directors has honored Henry County Schools Payroll Director Cheryl Wilson for her work as Charitable Donation Coordinator for Ronald McDonald House.
Wilson has been instrumental as the organization’s Charitable Donation Coordinator to the Ronald McDonald House since 2018. She has organized the collection of funds and the silent auction which has raised thousands of dollars in donations from TASBO members to assist with the cost of housing families at the Ronald McDonald House. As this year’s coordinator, Wilson led the organization in raising over $4,400 to donate to the cause. Board of Directors officials said, “We are grateful for her continued leadership and service to TASBO. She has also previously served in the capacity of Board Member.”
Wilson currently serves as the Director of Payroll for Henry County Schools. She holds a Bachelor’s in Organizational Leadership from Union University in Jackson, TN. She is married to Mike Wilson and has two children and four grandchildren.
The TASBO Board of Directors coordinates an annual conference that brings together over 300 school business officials from across the state of Tennessee to share ideas, best practices and participate in professional development.
The conference, held in Murfreesboro, offers approximately 70 educational sessions, and is made possible each year by vendor partners, conference attendee registration fees, and over $80,000 in business partner sponsorships.
