Mayfield, Ky.–Graves County Sheriff’s deputies were shot at during a pursuit after a reported armed robbery this morning in Mayfield.
Sheriff Jon Hayden said after the reported armed robbery at 11 a.m., the suspect was pursued and he shot at officers multiple times.
The pursuit ended near the Graves – McCracken County Line with shots fired again, he said, noting that no law enforcement officers were injured.
During the pursuit, both lanes of US Hwy. 45N were closed.
In an earlier post on the Graves County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, Sheriff Hayden had said there was no threat to the community and that the law enforcement officers were safe.
