Pris, Tenn.–Henry County Mayor John Penn Ridgeway has announced county general government offices will close at 11 a.m. this morning due to winter weather. This includes the Henry County Courthouse, Annex, Airport, Health Dept, Recycling Center, Central Building and other general government offices.
Roadways are expected to become hazardous through out the day due to accumulating snow and sleet. No decision has been made in regard to reopening on Friday. An announcement will be made at a later time.
Henry County EMA Director Ron Watkins said, “The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Warning for Henry County through 6 PM this evening. The public is asked to stay home and off roadways if at all possible.”
