Weakley County, Tenn.–A Weakley County couple is in jail today on charges they murdered and hid the body of a Paris woman.
Arrested are Christopher Thompson, age 45, and Jessica Thompson, age 36, both of 6384 Hwy. 190.
Christopher Thompson is charged with Second Degree Murder and tampering with evidence and is being held on $250,000 bond. Jessica Thompson is charged with Second Degree Murder and accessory after the fact. She is being held on $75,000 bond.
They are charged with the murder of Mandy Noe of Paris.
Weakley County Sheriff’s Captain Marty Plunk said on February 2, 2022, Jessica Rena Thompson came to the Sheriff’s Office to report her niece, Ms. Mandy Noe, missing.
“The last time Mrs. Thompson saw the victim was on January 22, 2022, when Mrs. Thompson left to visit family in Ga.,” he said. Plunk took the report from Mrs. Thompson. It was discovered that Mrs. Thompson‘s husband, Christopher Thomas Thompson, had been arrested the night before during a domestic dispute between the Thompson couple.
During the course of the investigation, it was determined Mandy J. Noe was Christopher Thompson’s niece and after interviewing Christopher Thompson, it was determined that Noe was killed during a dispute between Christopher Thompson and Jessica Thompson and the victim, on or about January 21, 2022, Plunk said.
The investigation showed that after the incident happened, the Thompson couple took steps to hide the crime by burying the victim on the property where they lived.
Capt. Plunk applied for a search warrant to search the property, located on Hwy 190 in the Jolly Springs area of Weakley County. The search warrant was granted and Mandy J. Noe‘s body was recovered from a clandestine grave on the property by Sheriff Mike Wilson, Capt. Terry McDade and Capt. Marty Plunk, Inv. Neil Cantrell, and Inv. Mason Wortham, along with members of the Weakley County Ambulance Service.
Christopher Thomas Thompson has been charged, currently, with Second Degree Murder and Tampering with Evidence, while Jessica Rena Thompson has been charged as an Accessory After the Fact and 2nd Degree Murder, Tampering with Evidence, and Filing a false Report.
Christopher Thomas Thompson appeared before General Sessions Judge Tommy Moore and bond was set at $250,000 and Jessica Rena Thompson’s bond was set at $75,000.
The investigation is ongoing and the Sheriff‘s Office asks that if anyone has any information, to contact the Sheriff’s Office or Crime Stoppers.
