Paris, Tenn.–It was a great day at the Henry County Helping Hand Radio Auction, with $9,535 raised, bringing the grand total so far this year at $196,573.
There were 23 slates of items donated by members of First Christian Church, Habitat for Humanity, Literacy Council, Lakewood and the Buchanan community. Auctioneer for the five-hour auction was Ray Compton. Manning the phones were members of the Athena Delphian group.
Tomorrow’s items are donated by: Veterans organizations including the VFW 1889, AMVETS Post 45, American Legion, Paris Elks, Unforgotten Motorcycle Club and Darkhorse Lodge. Auctioneer will be Jamie Orr.
The annual auction started Jan. 10 and will continue through March 2, raising funds for over 80 local non-profit and service organizations.
Photos of items that are donated each day are posted on the “Henry County Helping Hand” Facebook page. Anyone who wants to bid on any item can describe the item or give the number of the item as posted on the Facebook page.
The auction is broadcast daily over WTPR 101.7 FM and 710 AM at 12:30 p.m. You can also listen on our website at www.radionwtn.com, where it is live streamed.
