Another Big Day At Helping Hand: Grand Total Now At $202,375

Paris, Tenn.–Another big day for the Henry County Helping Hand Radio Auction today. With $5,802 in bids and donations today, the auction is now at $202,375 for the year.

Donating items today were veterans’ groups VFW Post 1889, AMBETS Post 45, American Legion Post 89, Paris Elks, Unfortotten Motorcycle Club and Darkhorse Lodge. Today’s auctioneer was Jamie Orr and the Lakeway Kiwanis Club manned the phones.

There were 17 slates of items donated today.

On Wednesday, the groups donating items will be: Wal Mart, Covenant Ranch, Plus Endowment, Buddy Bll and CHHAMPS. Auctioneers will be Ray Compton and Darrin Thompson.

The annual auction started Jan. 10 and will continue through March 2, raising funds for over 80 local non-profit and service organizations.

Photos of items that are donated each day are posted on the “Henry County Helping Hand” Facebook page. Anyone who wants to bid on any item can describe the item or give the number of the item as posted on the Facebook page.

The auction is broadcast daily over WTPR 101.7 FM and 710 AM at 12:30 p.m. You can also listen on our website at www.radionwtn.com, where it is live streamed.
