
Paris, Tenn.–With $13,667 raised today, the Henry County Helping Hand Radio Auction has now raised $219,449 so far this year.
It was another big day for the auction, with 17 slates of items donated by Fairview Baptist Church, the Atkins-Porter Neighborhood, HCHS Theatre Department, HCHS Speech Team and the HCHS Swim Team. Today’s auctioneer was Noel Hatman, with members of the Paris Quota Club manning the phones.
Tomorrow’s items will be donated by the Paris Soccer Club, Henry Co. Genealogical Society, Henry Co. Cemetery Committee, Henry County Archives and Henry County Chamber Music Society.
The annual auction started Jan. 10 and will continue through March 2, raising funds for over 80 local non-profit and service organizations.
Photos of items that are donated each day are posted on the “Henry County Helping Hand” Facebook page. Anyone who wants to bid on any item can describe the item or give the number of the item as posted on the Facebook page.
The auction is broadcast daily over WTPR 101.7 FM and 710 AM at 12:30 p.m. You can also listen on our website at www.radionwtn.com, where it is live streamed.
