Henry County Home, Garage Destroyed In Blaze

Cottage Grove, Tenn.–A Henry County home and garage were destroyed by fire Thursday morning.
Firefighters from Cottage Grove, Whitlock and Puryear were called to 220 Old Blake School Road around 7:15 a.m. on a report of a garage on fire.
Smoke from the fire could been seen from miles away and firefighters found the garage fully involved and had spread to the nearby house by the time firefighters arrived.
There were no injuries; the residents were alerted that the garage was on fire by someone knocking on their door.
Cottage Grove units were on the scene until 1 p.m. and were called back to the scene this morning when the fire rekindled.
In all, six fire units along with 11 firefighters responded, plus Henry County Sheriff’s deputies.
