Paris, Tenn.–Tuesday’s weather warmed up in time for the ribbon-cutting for the official opening of the city of Paris’ new pickleball courts at Eiffel Tower Park. A large crowd gathered and stayed for the pickleball clinics afterward.

City Manager Kim Foster said, “We couldn’t be more thrilled in the way everyone has embraced this here”. She noted the courts have been finished for awhile, but the city has been waiting for warm weather for the official opening. “People have been already playing on the courts and it’s great seeing how busy the courts are all the time.”

Paris Parks and Recreation Director Tony Lawrence said beginners leagues are formed and will begin next week. Call the Paris Civic Center at 642 2517 for more information.
