Linda Compton Mitzel, 73, of Paris, died Monday, March 28, 2022, at the Murray Calloway County Hospital.
Linda was married March 9, 1967, to James “Jim” Mitzel, who survives of Paris.
She was member of New Harmony Baptist Church where she enjoyed teaching bible studies and Sunday School. Along with her husband, she enjoyed camping, traveling, fishing, and being outdoors. Linda loved bird watching and gardening.
In addition to her husband, survivors include a son Chris Mitzel, of Paris; a sister Andrea Kay (Thomas) Arnold, of San Diego, Calif., a brother-in-law R. K. Fletcher, of Cookeville; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Marcia Ann Compton Fletcher.
Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St., Paris, Tenn., 38242 will be handling the arrangements. Visitation will be held at New Harmony Baptist Church Saturday, April 2, 2022, from 11 am until 1 pm. Her funeral service will be held Saturday, April 2, 2022, at New Harmony Baptist Church at 1 p.m. with Chris Downing officiating.
