Billy Russell, 67, of Paris, Tenn., died Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Murray Calloway County Hospital in Murray, Ky.
He retired as a locksmith from Murray State University. He was an avid music lover and had a room full of guitars. More than anything, Billy loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of Como Church of Christ. He will be dearly missed.
Billy was born December 13, 1954, in Colorado Springs, Colo., to the late John and the late Betty Mae Miller Russell.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 49 years: Rose Mary Russell, of Paris; one daughter: April Michelle (Richard) Papaleo, of Paris; three brothers: Jim (Darla) Russell, of Paris, Jack (Anne) Russell, of Paris, and Jeff (Peggy) Russell of Cottage Grove, Tenn.; one sister: Jane Coddington, of Castle Rock, Colo.; four grandchildren: Edward Russell, Christopher (Amber) Bennett, Victoria (John) Smith and Haylee Papaleo; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, Tenn., 38242. Memorial visitation will be Saturday, April 9, 2022, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the memorial service beginning at 2 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Rex Buford officiating.
