
Joy Love McRee Jackson, age 90 of Paris, Tenn., died Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Henry County Healthcare Center in Paris.
She worked for 30 years at Burnett Shoe Store in Paris, where she served as store manager and customer representative. Joy enjoyed shopping and going to the Smokey Mountains with her family and friends.
Joy was born April 9, 1931, in Henry County, Tenn., to the late Rufus Alvin McRee and the late Mertis May Shankle. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Yates and Bonnie Fones; and two brothers, Clois McRee and Jerry McRee.
She was married December 20, 1966, to William Anthony “Dub” Jackson, who preceded her in death January 19, 2011.
She is survived by seven nieces: Tammy Peter Springs, Laura Lee Fones Stephenson, Lisa Barnett, Pam Timmons, Terri Bryan, Kathy Welch, and Kathy Black; three nephews: Kevin (Pam) McRee, Joe David Townsend, and Mike Black; two great nieces: Brittany Hargrove and Connie Reeves; one great nephew:Travis Shelton; two sisters-in-law: Beverly J. McRee and Wanda Townsend; and two brothers-in-law: Harold Fones and David Townsend.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242. Visitation will be Friday, April 8, 2022, from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 12:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home.
Family will serve as pallbearers.
Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Paris, Tenn.
