Edward “C.E.” Malone

Edward “C.E.” Malone, 93, of Henry, Tenn., died Thursday, April 14, 2022, at McKenzie Healthcare and Rehab.

Mr. Malone was born Thursday, June 7, 1928, to Claude Malone and Ora Edwards Malone, who both preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his wife Helen Lawrence Malone, who he married Saturday, June 7, 1947, when she passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2020. His son Eddie Malone preceded him in death Monday, November 3, 1997, and two of Mr. Malone’s brothers James and Jack preceded him in death also.

Mr. Malone was a longtime member and Deacon of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. He was a Mason for over 60 years and a member of Paris Masonic Lodge. Edward worked at Holley Carburetor formerly of Paris until its closing. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and working with most anything outdoors especially with his wife, Helen.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughter Barbara (Tommy) Priddy, of Henry, Tenn., his daughter-in-law Mary Malone, of Paris, Tenn., grandchildren: Jennifer (Joe) Brown, Amanda (Bobby) Swayne, James (Kimberly) Malone, Shelby Priddy (Joe) Chapman and Stephanie Priddy and great grandchildren: Carly Milton, Lucas Brown, Will Brown, Ava Swayne, Rob Swayne, Anderson Malone, Aubrey Malone, Tucker Malone, Graham Malone, Emma Chapman, Levi Chapman and Helen Chapman. Mr. Malone is also survived by his lifelong best friend Darris Nash, of McKenzie.

Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Monday until service at 2 p.m. Monday, April 18, 2022, at McEvoy Funeral Home. Bro. Johnny Wall, of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, will preside over services. Burial will be at Palestine Cemetery.
