Drugs, Gun Seized During Paris Search

Paris, Tenn.–Early on Wednesday morning April 20th, officers with the Metro Crime Unit with the assistance of the Paris Police Department and the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, executed a search warrant at Crestview Manor apartments on Mandalay Road in Paris.  

Paris Assistant Police Chief Ean Reed said contact was made with the subject named in the search warrant as he arrived back at his residence in his vehicle. 

Jarvis Bowen was detained upon contact and there was a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle he was driving and a half smoked “blunt” was located in the vehicle, he said.  “During the course of the search several items were recovered that are associated with the resale of narcotics such as scales, plastic baggies, and a firearm.  Additionally, seven grams of marijuana and 2.2 grams of cocaine were found.”

Metro Crime Unit officers seized $1,595 in cash and the vehicle that Bowen was driving at the time of arrest. 

Bowen was charged with Possession of a schedule II narcotic with the intent to manufacture/deliver/or sell, Simple Possession of schedule VI narcotic, and drug paraphernalia.  Bowen was set a $30,000 bond and is to be in General Sessions court on April 26th, 2022.
