Busy Day On Tap For Fish Fry: Antique Fire Truck Unveiling, Fish Tent Opens, Christian Concert

Paris, Tenn.–Today will be an especially busy day at the World’s Biggest Fish Fry, with the fish tent opening, the carnival continuing and the restored 1927 American LaFrance Paris Fire Truck being unveiled.

The restored antique fire truck will be officially unveiled at 4:30 p.m. at the Enoch Building at the Henry County Fairgrounds. County Historian David Webb will present a plaque to the restoration team.

The Fish Tent will open at 5 p.m. and Hostess Princess Emma Brewer will toss out the first hush puppy to officially open the tent. All you can eat catfish and all the fixin’s for $15 for adults, $12 for children 6-12. The fish tent is open from 5-10 p.m. The fish plates include catfish, hush puppies, white beans, cole slaw, and french fries. Carryouts are also available.

The fish tent will be open Thursday, Friday and Saturday, starting at 11 a.m. each day.

Also tonight is the Christian Concert with The Jonathan Turner Band, at the fairgrounds, 7-9 p.m., $5.
